About Us |
| My love of horses began at an early age when my parents bought me my first "pony" who I rode until the springs fell off. The next couple of years I begged my parents for the real thing until one summer I was rewarded with my first real horse, a shetland pony named Babe. Well I was hooked, and never looked back. When I outgrew her I was fortunate enough to attend a camp in Northern Wisconsin that taught everything about horses from the ground up, health care, training, husbandry and showing. For the next 6 years I competed in Western speed events including barrel racing, poles and flags, also Western Pleasure Halter and horsemanship.
When I got married and starting raising a family there never seemed to be enough money or time so I took a very long break. After a divorce and a move to a bigger place I was able to go back to my first love. We have now incorporated minis into our farm life and are enjoying every minute of it.
I work part time as a vet tech with a large animal vet which helps with the daily care of my mini's. All our stock is on a regular farrier vaccination and worming schedule.
Shawn Connerty is a proud member and former president of the International Miniature Appaloosa & Pintaloosa Club (IMAPC). |
